WINK MUSIC STARTED FROM SCRATCH, WITHOUT A DESIGN SYSTEM AND WITH SCREENSHOTS FROM ANOTHER TEAM. THE LAYOUTS WERE FRAGMENTED, WORKING WITH TV — A NEW EXPERIENCE, AND INTEGRATION WITH WINK REQUIRED TO CONSIDER THE CURRENT IDENTIFICATION.

SOLUTION

We organized work through short iterations: first, we identified real problems, formulated hypotheses, and then tested them with quick user tests. This approach allowed us to focus not on visual changes, but on improving the user experience. Gradually, a flexible design system began to form around the validated solutions, which scales with the product and takes into account user behavior across all platforms.

The previous team had neither a design system nor structured layouts. Part of the interface — including the main screen — had already been implemented, and we could not rewrite it from scratch. We had to work carefully with this legacy. The layouts were fragmented, inconsistent, and lacked auto layout.

At the same time, we needed to launch experiments on new platforms, including TV — which has completely different UX patterns and constraints. We started with cleaning up. We organized the files, reassembled the screens, structured the navigation, and synchronized with development. Concurrently, we began to build a component library — from buttons to cards and headers, adapted for all platforms.
